He later was a consultant and spent six years in maintenance with the Medical Lake School District and as a repairman for retired people out of his home. His wife, Neoma, died in 1995. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, building trailers and fireplace inserts in his welding shop, oil and water color painting and wood carving. He had been involved at the Corbin Community Center since 1979, where he was a board member, president of the center, a carpenter and storyteller. Survivors include a daughter, Anna Mae Hoke of Spokane; a stepdaughter, Gail Woosley of Corvalis, Ore.; his niece and caregiver, Claudia Miner of Spokane; five grandchildren, 13 great- grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
