Agnela E. Showalter, 90, of 1202 First St. SW, died Sunday morning, Jan. 15, 1995, in Hospice Kavanagh House, Des Moines, after a short illness. Services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Kuba Funeral Home East, where friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Wednesday, and where a wake service begins at 7 tonight. The Rev. Joseph Schneider of St. Patrick's Catholic Church will officiate. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery. Surviving is a son, Gerald of Cedar Rapids. Also surviving are a sister-in-law, Helen Adams of New Hampton; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister. Angela was born Feb. 12, 1904, to Lee and Margaret Meirs Adams in North Washington, Iowa, where she married John Cyril Showalter on June 1, 1932. He died Oct. 16, 1969.
