Catherine E. Torpey, 81, of Wyndcrest Nursing Home, died Thursday at
Samaritan North.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Monday in Prince of Peace
Parish, Sacred Heart Church, with the Rev. Ronald Young
officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at
Delaney-Vulich Funeral Home, where a Prince of Peace Parish vigil
service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph's
Cemetery, DeWitt.

Pallbearers will be members of St. Edwards Council No. 707 Knights of Columbus.

She was born Dec. 28, 1914, in Lost Nation, to William and Gertrude
Farrell Torpey. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish, and the
Coalition of Handicapped Individuals.

She had retired from the dietary department at Mercy Hospital.

Survivors include a sister, Mildred Leonard of Clinton; and several
nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
