Van Hecke Rites Scheduled for Saturday Camiel Van Hecke (under a photo) Funeral services for Camiel A. 'Van' Van Hecke, 68, of 1211 39th St. Moline, who died at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at Moline Lutheran Hospital, after a two week illness, will be at 11 Saturday morning in the Wheelan Funeral Home, Rock Island. Officiating will be the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Francis Blecke, pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rock Island. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home, where friends may call. Mr. Van Hecke was born Sept. 28, 1887 in Rock Island, the son of the late Thomas and Milanie Van Hecke. He attended Rock Island schools. In 1904 he married Elizabeth Salzman, who died in 1947. The same year, he married Bernie Farrell in Chicago. At the time of his death he was a bartender at Johnny Hartman's Restaurant in Davenport. He was formerly owner of the Budweiser Inn, Milan. His parents, three brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Surviving are the widow, four daughters, Mrs. Clara Rose Quist, Mrs. Irene Trede and Mrs. Charlotte Hanna, all of Rock Island, and Mrs. Doris May Mandonsa of Salinas, Calif.; two sons, Robert Dale VanHecke, Davenport, and Thomas A. Van Hecke, Omaha., Neb; 12 grandchildren; a great grandchild, and a brother, Victor Van Hecke of Galesburg. Rock Island Argus Friday June 22, 1956
