Andrew J. Simmons

Andrew J. Simmons was born May 14, 1824.  He died at the home of his son
William, east of town, on Thursday, January 17, 1907. after a short illness with
pneumonia at the age of 82 years.

Of the family of six children, three survive him. Will and Riley of this place
and Mrs. Tom Allen of North Dakota.  He has several brothers and sisters living.


A short service was held at the time of interment at the Clothier cemetery
Saturday.

Mr. Simmons was a highly respected resident of this neighborhood for many years
and has now gone to a well earned rest and reward.
