Raymond Vaughn Ellett Funeral Services for Raymond Vaughn Ellett, 57, of 1008 - 39th Street, Des Moines, were held Monday morning at 10 a.m. in the Dahlstrom Funeral Home in Des Moines. The Rev. DeLoss Marken, former pastor at the College Park Christian Church, conducted the services. Burial was made in the North English cemetery, with graveside services being conducted by the Rev. Oscar Barrow, of the North English Christian church. Last rites were also conducted at the graveside by the North English Masonic Lodge. Mr. Ellett, chief of the audit division of the United States internal revenue service in Iowa, died at his home in Des Moines, Friday evening, August 23, of a cerebral hemorrhage. He was born at North English, Iowa, on November 6, 1899, a son of W.R. and Besse Ellett. He attended the local schools, graduating from North English high school in 1917. Son after graduation he went to work in the North English Savings Bank. He was a veteran of World War I. On March 25, 1923, he was united in marriage to Mabel Roller of North English. They made their home here until 1928, when the moved to Cedar Rapids, where Vaughn entered the Internal Revenue Service. In 1929 he was transferred to Des Moines, where they had resided since. He was named audit chief in 1952. He was a member of the North English Christian Church, was past master of Triumph Masonic Lodge at North English and was a member of Waveland Park Masonic Lodge, Des Moines Consistory and Za-Ga-Zig Shrine. He is survived by his wife, Mabel and a brother, Mark, of College Park, Georgia; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mark Ellett, two nieces, Mrs. B. J. Roberts nd Sandra, all of College Park, George, and by one uncle, Roy (Todd) Ellett of North English.
