Gladys E. Gilchrist

Gladys E. Gilchrist,79, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1998, in University
Hospitals, Iowa City, from complications of a stroke. Services: 10:30
a.m. Saturday, North English Christian Church, by the Rev. Don
Ridenour. Burial: North English Cemetery. Friends may visit from 4:30
to 8 p.m. today at Powell Funeral Home, North English, where the
family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Survivors include three daughters, JoAnn Gilchrist of Iowa City,
Virginia Kleppinger of Lancaster, Pa., and Janice Giblin of Des
Moines; two brothers, George Patterson of Black Canyon City, Ariz.,
and Carl Patterson of La Crosse, Wis.; and two sisters, Arlene Smith
of Wellman and Jean Patterson of Williamsburg.
