Frances Mullin, 92, Dies at North English Services for Frances S. (Fanny) Mullin, 92, North English, were held Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1 p.m. at the Christian church, North English, with the Rev. David Barnes officiating. Mrs. Mullin died at the English Valleys care center, North English, Sunday, Dec. 26, 1982, having been a resident there six years. Music was provided by organist Mrs. Robert Gilmore and pianist Mrs. Lynn Kolosik. Interment was in the North English cemetery. Pallbearers were Arthur Carter, Roy Harris, Dean H. Thomas, Jerry and Larry Harris and Jack Lockridge, all of North English. Frances Susanna Mullin was born in North English, Nov. 10, 1890, the daughter of George and Nettie Gilchrist Roller. She received her education in the North English school. Her marriage to Frank Mullin took place Aug. 29, 1915 at the home of her parents. She was a member of the Christian church, North English, and was a 66-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, in which she was active as long as her health permitted. Surviving are two children, Frances (Mrs. Arnold J.) Bair, North English, and David Mullin, Millersburg; a grandson, Gary Mullin; three great-grandchildren, Melissa, Meri and Michael Mullin; and a sister, Mrs. Doris Riess, North English. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1966, a granddaughter, Susan Mullin, and sisters Lita Lavelle, Helen Geiger, Margaret Long and Mable Ellett. 1/13/1983, newspaper not noted. Frank Mullin, 82 Frank Mullin, 82, widely known North English retired stock buyer, passed away at his home here at 10:25 a.m. June 30, 1966. He had been ill for many months. Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, July 2, 1966 in the Christian Church. The Rev. Fred Wooley officiated. Mrs. Rose King presided at the organ during the services. Serving as casketbearers were Harry Reed, Donald Swink, Arthur Carter, Ed O'Brien, Don H. Tho?? and Cyril Kelly. Burial was made in the North English cemetery. Frank Mullin was born January 31, 1884, at North English, the son of Lafayette and Carrie Summitt Mullin, pioneer residents of this community. Frank attended Hawkeye rural school and North English high school. On August 29, 1915, he was married to Miss Fannye Roller at the home of her parents in North English. Frank and Fannye observed their golden wedding anniversary last year. Many years ago, Frank became a stock buyer, when North English was one of the big stock shipping points on the Milwaukee railroad. For many years he served as manager of the North English Shipping Association, and he was active in this work until ill health forced his retirement. All during his illness he received loving and tender care from his wife, Fannye, but his condition grew worse with each passing week, until the end came last Thursday. He is survived by his wife, Fannye; one son, David of North English; one daughter, Frances, Mrs. Arnold Bair, of North English; one grandson, Gary Mullin, who is serving with the U.S. Air Forces in Labrador; a great-grandson, Jerry Mullin, other relatives, and a great many friends. July 1966, newspaper not noted. David L. Mullin, 66, Dies October 2 Funeral services for David L. Mullin, 66, were held Wednesday, OCt 5, at the North English Christian church. He died Sunday, Oct. 2, 1983, at the Keokuk county hospital, Sigourney, where he had been a patient for four days. The Rev. David Barnes, pastor of the North English Christian church, officiated. Mrs. Aileen Shaull was organist. Honorary casket bearers included Marlo Mathes, Willard Popham, Verle Harris, Ralph Burck, Norman Grimm and Maynard McKay. Active casket bearers were Richard Harris, Leo Dunne, Clarence Huedepohl, Clarence Husband, Raymond Edward and Jarry Harris. Interment was in the Millersburg cemetery. David L. Mullin was born Sept 30, 1917 in North English, to Frank and Frances Roller Mullin. He graduated from North English high school in 1935 and was married to Jean Dansdill Oct. 26, 1940 in Kirksville, Mo. They farmed for 25 years in the North English community before moving to Millersburg in 1966. He worked at Amana Refrigeration until retiring three and one-half years ago, and enjoyed breaking and caring for his horses for many years. Surviving are his wife Jean; a son, Gary; grandchildren, Melissa, Mel and Mik, Sacramento, Calif; Perry, New Orleans, La.; and a sister, Frances (Mrs. A. J.) Bair, North English. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant daughter, Suzanne. North English Record 6 Oct 1983 Jean Mullin, 73 Funeral services for Jean Mullin, 73, Millersburg, were held at noon Sunday, Dec. 11, at Powell Funeral Home, North English. She died Friday, Dec. 9, 1995, at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City. The Rev. Kathleen Moore officiated at the service. Burial was in the Millersburg Cemetery. Casket bearers were Jeff Greiner, Jan Dansdill, Jon Vercande, Pat Greene, Jerry Harris and Richard Harris. Jean Meredith Mullin was born Nov. 4, 1921, in Millersburg, the daughter of Milo Rex and Reathel Olive Seaton Dansdill. She graduated from Millersburg High School in 1937. She married David L. Mullin Oct. 26, 1940, in Kirksville, Mo. They farmed 25 years near North English until moving to Millersburg in 1966. Mullin worked many years in the North English school cafeteria, retired from the housekeeping department at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, and for the last 10 years had worked at the English Valley Care Center, North English. She was a member of the North English Christian Church and a past Noble Grand of Rebekah Lodge 355, where she was a member for 54 years. Mullin is survived by one son, Gary Mullin, Sacramento, Calif.; four grandchildren, Melissa Filbert, North Highland, Calif.; Meredith Mullin and Michael Mullin, both Sacramento, and Perry Sumner, Modesto, Calif.; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Theresa Greene, Keswick; Helen Fosdick, Geneseo, Ill., and Patricia Vercande, Cedar Rapids, and one brother, George Murray Dansdill, Decorah.
