Funeral Services Held Thursday for Mrs. Nettie Roller Nettie Gilchrist, daughter of David and Fannne Gilchrist, was born on a farm in Keokuk county, near North English, Iowa on January 21, 1870, and passed away at her home in North English on Tuesday, June 15, 1943, at the age of 73. She was united in marriage to George W. Roller on March 19, 1890 and to this union were born seven children, a son and six daughters. Her husband and two of the children preceded her in death, the husband in 1928, the son in infancy and a daughter, Mrs. Margaret Long, who died in 1918. The five surviving daughters are Mrs. Fannye Mullin, Mrs. Lita LaVelle, Mrs. Helen Geiger, Mrs. Doris Riess, all of North English, and Mrs. Mabel Ellet of Des Moines. Also surviving, a granddaughter, Frances Mullin Bair, four grandsons, Merton and Lyle Geiger, David Mullin and Jon Riess, together with two great grandchildren, Richard Geiger and Gary Mullin. When a young woman, Mrs. Roller united with the Christian Church. She has for many years been a member of Iowa Rebekah Lodge No. 355 at North English, being the first candidate accepted by that lodge and serving it as Noble Grand in 1922. Funeral services were held in the Christian Church Thursday, June 17, at 1:30 p.m., in charge of Rev. Harold Reed. Burial was made in the North English cemetery. Pallbearers were Charles Pine, Gean Smith, George H. Smith, Richard Owen, Donald Dixon and Wayne Wade. Out of town relatives and friends attending the services were Walter Mahannah, Chicago, Ill; Mrs. George Landis, of Kansas, Ill.; Mrs. Clark Mahannah, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Mrs. Thelma Smith and son, Douglas of Minneapolis; Mrs. Ruth Mangles, Willis Roller, Ira Roller and Ross Roller of Davenport, Iowa; Mrs. Reva Claypool, South English, Ia.; Mrs. J. P. Gilchrist, Osceola; Mrs. F.E.
