Obituaries Daniel Lawler Daniel V. Lawler, 84, of 1344 W. High St. Davenport, died Monday at Moline Public Hospital. Arrangements are pending at Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll, Iowa. Halligan-McCabe Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements. Mr. Lawler married Mary Clifford in 1918. She died in 1941. He married Mary Berniece Wiedmann in 1957. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife; daughters Marie Johnson, Bettendorf; Catherine Malloy, Davenport; Genevieve Disney, Memphis, Tenn., and Alice Wood, Summerville, S.C.; sons, Paul, Davenport, and Louis and Robert, Sioux City, Iowa; 49 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass was Dec. 19 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset of which she was a member, with burial in the Montplier Cemetery in Patterson. Mrs. Lawler was born in Madison County. She was a homemaker and active in her church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Frank Wiedmann in 1957 and Vincent Lawler in 1979; one great-grandson and one sister; Lorraine Wildin. Survivors include her son, Robert Wiedmann of Indianola; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; many step-children, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Georgia Wheeler of Nampa, Idaho.
