Peter Lawler Dies at Hospital Funeral at the Catholic Church in Wall Lake Last Friday. (Mrs. Ethel Hayden) WALL LAKE -- Peter Lawler, whose illness has been noted several times in these columns, and who was removed to St. Anthony hospital at Carroll for care on May 12, died there on May 24 and was brought home for burial. He was born May 3, 1853, at Lexington, Kentucky. When a child of two years his parents moved to Clinton county and later to Sac county where the rest of his life was spent. On Feb. 22, 1886, he was united in marriage to Hanna Murphy at Vail. They made their home on the farm for many years raising their family there and moving into Wall Lake in 1917, where they have made their home ever since. Since September last year his health has been steadily failing and his wife cared for him with some help at times until the burden became so great she could do so no longer, when she reluctantly consented to have him removed to the hospital for care. His wife and the members of the family had been apprised of his condition and were at his bedside when he died. The funeral was held at St. Joseph's church in Wall Lake on Friday, May 27, at 9 a.m. and interment was in the Wall Lake Catholic cemetery. He leaves behind his wife, two sons, John of Detroit and Vincent of Wall Lake; two daughters, Sister Mary Loyola of Leila hospital, Battle Creek, Mich., and Mrs. Thos. Maher of Carroll; sixteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Two of his daughters have died before him, Pearl, who died on Jan. 1, 19013, and Mrs. Ed White who died Sept. 19, 1926. Rev.
