Huebner Funeral Home Memorial Obituary Henry Lawler Henry James Lawler died on March 23, 1971 at Eventide in Denison at the age of 88 years and 25 days. Henry James Lawler, son of the late Daniel and Mary (Malloy) Lawler, was born on a farm near Westside on Feb. 26, 1883. He attended rural schools. On Oct. 8, 1918, he was united in marriage to Margaret Handley of Ford City, Mo. and they made their home on a farm north of Westside. To this union three children were born. In 1960 Mr. and Mrs. Lawler retired and moved to Vail. They celebrated their golden wedding on October 8, 1968. He is preceded in death by his parents, one infant daughter, one brother Daniel and four sisters, Mary Ellen, Margaret, Elizabeth and Mrs. Alicia Schober. He is survived by his wife Margaret, one son John of Westside, one daughter Mrs. Beatrice Smith of Moline, Ill., 10 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Loretta O'Leary of Vail. Rosary was held at the Huebner Funeral home on March 24, 1971 at 8:45 p.m. Funeral services werer held at St. Ann's Catholic church in Vail on Thursday March 25, 1971 at 10 a.m. with Father Harold Cooper officiating. Lawler Margaret Julia Lawler, daughter of William and Mary Ann McGee Handley, was born Sept. 19, 1891 in Ford City, Mo., and died March 7, 1974 at the Crawford County Memorial Hospital, Denison. She was 82. She grew to womanhood in the Ford City community. She married Henry James Lawler, of Westside at Ford City, Oct. 8. They made their home on a farm near Westside, and had one son, John, and one daughter, Beatrice. In 1960, Ms. and Mrs. Lawler moved to Vail. Mr. Lawler died March 23, 1971. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, one daughter, Blanche, her parents, one brother, Frank, and two sisters, Lucy and Agnes. Survivors include one son, John, of Westside, and one daughter, Mrs. Beatrice Smith, of Moline, Ill. 10 grandchildren, three brothers, Thomas of King City, Mo., James of Wichita, Kan., and Lawrence of Darlington, Mo., five sisters, Mrs. Anthony (Honora) Steinhauer of Parnell, Mo., Roberta Handley of Kings City, Mo., Mrs. Elma McAnn of Marysville, Mo., Mrs. Leonard (Beatrice) Steinhauser of Stanberry, Mo., and Mrs. Ben (Elizabeth) Wiederholdt of Marysville, Mo. Funeral services were held Saturday , March 9, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, Vail. Rev. Harold Cooper officiated. Rosary was recited by the Legion of Mary and at the Huebner Funeral Home.
