Mrs. John Lawler Dies Mrs. John Lawler, an old and highly respected resident of Jackson township for many years, passed away at her home Sunday evening, September 4th at 8:30 p.m. She had been in poor health for some time. About two weeks ago she had a bad fall and broke a hip, which was one of the direct causes of her death. She was married to John Lawler, and this union was blessed with four sons, namely, Will, Ambrose, John and Joseph. Her husband and son, Joseph, preceded her in death a number of years ago. She was a very industrious and kind hearted old lady and was held in high esteem by a host of friends who greatly mourn her death. Three sons remain to mourn her death, namely: Will, Ambrose and John, besides a large number of other relatives. The funeral was held at St. Ann's church at Vail, Wednesday morning, Rev. Father Slattery of Wall Lake celebrating a Requiem High Mass and conducting the services. The remains were tenderly laid to rest in the family lot beside her husband in St. Ann's cemetery at Vail. ---------------------------------------- The (Denison, I think) Bulletin September 14, 1927
