Dannie Lawler of Westside Dies Dannie Lawler, 61, died of a heart attack at 7 p.m. Tuesday at his home two miles northwest of Westside. The body is at the Sharp Funeral Home here, awaiting completion of arrangements. Rites are tentatively set for Friday morning at St. Ann's Church in Vail. Mr. Lawler lived with his sisters, Ella, Margaret and Elizabeth. Ella is in St. Joseph's Hospital at Omaha. Carroll Times Herald March 18, 1953 ------------------------------ Services Held For Miss Lawler Funeral services for Miss Ella Lawler, 75, of Westside, will be at 9 a.m Saturday at St. Ann's Church in Vail. The Rev. Dennis Clark will offer requiem mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Miss Lawler died of a heart attack at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Spieker Nursing home in Carroll, where she had lived for the last six months. The body is resting at the Sharp Funeral Home here, where Fr. Clark will lead the recitation of the rosary at 3:30 p.m. Thursday and 5 p.m. Friday. Miss Lawler, daughter of Daniel and Mary Lawler, was born Aug. 25, 1878, at Westside. She spent her life on the farm two and one-half miles north of Westside. As a young woman, she had taught school. Surviving are four sisters and one brother: Margaret Lawler, Westside; Mrs. Alicia Schober, Cambridge, Neb.; Elizabeth Lawler, Westside; Mrs. Thomas (Loretta) O'Leary, Binkelman, Neb., and on brother, James Lawler, Westside. Two brothers, John and Daniel, are deceased. Miss Lawler was a member of St. Ann's Church.
