Elizabeth Lawler Vail --- Elizabeth Lawler, 76, lifelong resident of the Vail community, died about 1 a.m. Thursday, July 11, en route to St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll. Requiem mass will be read at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Ann's Church, Vail, by the Rev. Lloyd White, with interment in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 7 p.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and at 3 and 8 p.m. Friday. Miss Lawler was born April 12, 1887, north of Westside, a daughter of Daniel and Mary Lawler. She made her home on the Lawler homestead until retiring in 1953, when she and her sister Margaret made their home in Vail. Since the death of Margaret Lawler in 1956, she and another sister, Mrs. Loretta O'Leary, lived together in Vail. Miss Lawler was a member of St. Ann's Church and the Ladies Guild of the parish. Surviving are one brother, James Lawler, Vail; and her sister, Mrs. O'Leary. Her parents, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Newspaper unknown. 1963 handwritten on the copy.
