Jan. 18, 1928 Denison Bulletin (Part of what looks like part of a community social news column.) The entire community was deeply grieved when news was spread announcing the death of Mrs. James Kerrigan, one of the oldest residents of Jackson township. While her death, which happened Friday evening, was not wholly unexpected, being due to the infirmities of her old age, nevertheless it was a shock to her relatives and friends because until recently she had been apparently enjoying the best of health. Until her death she has been making her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John O'Donnell, and family, of Jackson township. The funeral was held Monday at St. Ann's church at Vail, after which a large concourse of relatives and friends followed the body to its last earthly resting place, the family lot in St. Ann's cemetery. Rev. Father Sullivan performed a Requiem High Mass. The entire community joins in expressing sincere sympathy to the grieved relatives and friends Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Lawler of Halburd were callers in Vail Monday at the funeral of Mrs. James Kerrigan.
