Services Set for Phyllis Thomas Phyllis E. Thomas, 66, of Lexington, died Friday, June 29, 1990. Rosary was Monday, July 2, at 6:30 p.m. and visitation was from 7-9 p.m., at Reynolds-Love Funeral Home in Lexington. Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, July 3, at 10 a.m., at St. Ann's Catholic Church with the Rev. Ray Kosmicki officiating. Burial was in St. Ann's Cemetery. She was born Oct. 1, 1923, in Hastings, to Philip and Aimee (Kealy) Vreeland. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church as well as St. Ann's Altar Society. Survivors include four sons, David of Chantilly, Va., Jon of Fremont, James of Saudi Arabia, and Bill of Denver; four daughters, Maurine Hatting of St. Paul, Minn., Colette Blackwelder of Austin, Texas, Mary Edenburn of Curryville, Mo., and Patricia Margritz of Lexington; one brother, Philip Vreeland of Kearney; two sisters, Ruth Barry, Meadows of Dan, Va., and Rita Horn of Point Washington, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, in 1981. Memorials are to the American Cancer Society of St. Jude Children's Hospital. Lexington (Nebraska) Clipper July 5, 1990 Howard C. Thomas Died Saturday Rites Held Nov. 3 Howard C. Thomas, 60, of Lexington, died Saturday, Oct. 31, after an illness of several months. Christian Wake Services were held Monday evening, Nov. 2, at St. Ann's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial was conducted Tuesday morning, Nov. 3, at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Father James Warner officiating. Interment was in st. Ann's Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Stan Stewart, Bill Kelly, Bob Bendler, and Marvin Bogner, Seymour Fox and Don Prasch. He was born Jan. 15, 1921, at Lexington. He attended Lexington Schools and graduated from Lexington High School in 1939. He was employed for a number of years by Dawson Public Power as an engineer until ill health forced his early retirement. He was a veteran of World War II. Survivors include his widow, Phyllis E.; sons, David Thomas, Stuttgart, Germany with U.S. Army, Jon Thomas, Brownlee, James and Bill Thomas, Denver, Colo.; daughters Maurine Hatting, Oxford, Ohio, Collette Reyna, Austin, Tex., Mary Edenburn, Osage Beach, Mo., Patricia Margritz, Lexington; nine grandchildren; mother, Mrs. Hallie Ford, Grand Junction, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. Wayne (Betty) Schrack, Lexington, and Mrs. Bob (Mary Jane) Wisemiller of Fremont.
