Funeral Services will be Friday for William Walsh of Hastings William J. Walsh, 59, 511 west Sixth, died Wednesday at the Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital. He was a lifetime resident of Adams County and a former employe of the Hastings Regional Center. Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the Butler-Volland Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Church with the Rev. Raymond Hain officiating. He is survived by his widow, Mary Agnes; two sons, James and John, both of Hastings; three daughters, Mrs. Betty Riley, Arvada, Colo., and Mrs. Kathy Snell and Mrs. Peg Kennedy, both of Hastings; nine grandchildren; and a sister, Sister Maurine, Spalding. Hastings Daily Tribune Jan. 28, 1976 Page 9 Mary Agnes Walsh Saturday, June 6, 1998 Hastings resident Mary Agnes (Kieffe) Walsh, 83, died Saturday, June 6, 1998, at Good Samaritan Village Perkins Pavilion in Hastings. Rosary is 7:30 p.m. today at Butler-Volland Funeral Home chapel. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Monsignor John J. McCabe officiating. Burial will be in Highland-St. Patrick's Cemetery in rural Adams County. Mrs. Walsh was born Jan. 22, 1915, to William and Gertrude (Gallagher) Kieffe in Hastings. On July 27, 1940, she married William J. Walsh. He died Jan. 28, 1976. She worked at Hastings Regional Center for more than 20 years. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church and its Altar Society. She was a charter member of BPO Does No. 112 and a past member of the Eagles. She volunteered with the Red Cross. Survivors are three daughters, Elizabeth "Betty" Riley of Evergreen, Colo., Kathleen Walsh of Arlington, Texas, and Margaret "Peg" Mohlman of Hastings; two sons, James of Afton, Va., and John Walsh of Hastings; one sister, Idonna Stefani of Dekalb, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
