Mrs.  Elizabeth   Kane,  90,  of   Charlotte  died  Monday   night  in
Mt. Alverno,  Clinton, where she had  resided the past  18 months. The
body was taken  from Hanrahan Funeral Home to the  home of a daughter,
Mrs. Gerald Clifford  of Charlotte.  Funeral services will  be held at
10  a.m.  this  Thursday  morning  in Assumption  Catholic  church  in
Charlotte. Burial will be in Assumption cemetery.

Mrs. Kane, daughter of John and Mary Lawlor McGarry, was born at Villa
Nova September  29, 1872. She and  John R. Kane were  married at Villa
Nova November 9, 1905. Mr. Kane passed away in 1946.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs.  Clifford of Charlotte and Mrs. John
Reynolds Jr. of Thomsen, Illinois; two sons, John Jr. of Charlotte and
Robert   of  Rockford,   Illinois;  four   grandchildren,   two  great
grandchildren;  two  sisters,  Mrs.   W.  J.  Spain,  Petersville  and
Mrs. Anthony McCoy,  DeWitt, also two brothers, Leo  and John McGarry,
both of DeWitt.
