CHARLOTTE - Rita Reynolds, 90 CHARLOTTE - Rita Reynolds, 90, of Charlotte, died Thursday at Mercy South Hospital. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Assumption St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Charlotte. The Rev. Gary Beckman will be officiating the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in the Assumption Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Nelson Funeral Home in DeWitt. There will be a rosary at 7 p.m. She was born Aug. 14, 1913, to John and Bessie McGarry Kane in Charlotte. She married John "Brother" Reynolds on April 18, 1936. He died in 1978. She graduated from Charlotte High School. She was employed with National Lock in Savanna, Ill., for several years. She was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society at Assumption St. Patrick's Catholic Church and volunteered at Community Care in Charlotte. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Debra (D.R.) Reynolds of Macomb, Ill., and Mrs. Patricia (Tom) Petersen of Oceanside, Calif.; one son, Robert Reynolds of Charlotte; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Marilyn (Robert) Kane of Rochester, Minn.; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, two brothers and one sister. Rita Kane was born Aug. 14, 1913, the daughter of John and Bessie (McGarry) Kane in Charlotte. She graduated from Charlotte High School. She then married John "Brother" Reynolds on April 18, 1936.
