DeWitt Blanche T. Lawlor Blanche T. Lawlor, 84, an Alverno Health Care Facility resident, formerly of 414 6th Ave., DeWitt, died Saturday night at the Alverno facility. The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph's Church with the Rev. Anthony Conrad officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today in the McGinnis Funeral Home, DeWitt. The parish Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Miss Lawlor was born July 6, 1894, in Vail, Iowa, to Simon and Evaline Hogarty Lawlor. She lived in DeWitt for many years, and was employed at the Iowa Mutual Insurance Co., and at Walker's Department Store for many years. She is survived by a niece and three nephews. Funeral services were conducted Friday morning. A family prayer service in McGinnis Funeral Home was followed by Requiem Mass in St. Joseph's Church. Rev. Francis Kelley was the celebrant. Burial was in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Pallbearers were William Homrighausen, Charles Harrington, Donald Green, Elmer Ellingsen, W. L. Fisher and Glenn Rusch. Miss Lawlor was the daughter of Simon and Evaline Hogarty Lawlor and had been a resident of DeWitt for 69 years. She was a member of St. Francis Guild, St. Veronica League and an honorary member of the Pierian Club. She retired from Iowa Electric Light and Power Company in 1955. Surviving are two sisters, Miss Vivian Lawlor and Mrs. Vivian Hyinck. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. De Witt Observer Mon. May 12, 1969.
