Beatrice L. McGarry, 71, formerly of DeWitt, died Friday in Penrose
Main Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colo.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Patrick's Catholic
Church, Villa Nova, with the Rev. David Steinly officiating.
Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today in Nelson Funeral Home,
DeWitt, where a 7 p.m. wake service will be conducted.  Burial will be
in the church cemetery

Pallbearers will be Marty Geelan, Jeff and Joel Penny (grandsons) and
John, Dick and Paul McGarry (nephews).

Mrs. McGarry was born Feb. 1, 1921, in Detroit, Mich., to Emmett and
Glennie Touroo Behan. She married Cyril McGarry, Aug. 29, 1942, in
Detroit. He died in 1989. She and her husband moved from the DeWitt
area to Colorado in 1972. She was a past member of St. Patrick's
Catholic Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Leo (Kathleen) Geelan of
Ruthven, Iowa, Patricia Penny of Colorado Springs, and Mrs. Dave
(Susan) Lund of Rock Island; two sons, Daniel of Mankato, Minn., and
Joseph of Colorado Springs; 16 grandchildren and a sister, Shirley
Lichtle of Clawson, Mich.

Death date: June 19, 1992.
