   1937 - 2003
   James L. McGarry, 65, died Jan. 20, 2003, in Phoenix.
   Services were Jan. 23 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, Superior,
   Ariz. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery, Superior.
   Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt, Iowa, is in charge of local arrangements.
   Mr. McGarry worked 18 years at Magma Copper Co., Superior. He
   retired six years ago and then worked at Antelope Hills Golf Course,
   Prescott Valley, Ariz., until October 2002.
   He was born May 15, 1937, in Clinton, Iowa. He married Elois Vasquez in
   San Diego. She died in 1996. 
   He had served in the Marine Corps.
   Survivors include daughters, Jyna Bean, Phoenix, Anthonette Garcia,
   Prescott Valley, and Sandra McGarry, Superior; son, James II, Phoenix,
   and David, Miami, Ariz.; 18 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
   sisters, Kay Lincoln and Judy Fletcher, both of DeWitt, Iowa, Leona
   Seifert, Donahue, Iowa, Helen Medlin, Newburn, N.C., and Paulette
   Frank, Port Angeles, Wash.; and brothers, John, Sabula, Iowa, and
   Dick, Paul and Steve, all DeWitt.
