Mrs. Mary Beatrice McGlynn, 73, of DeWitt, died today in DeWitt Community Hospital. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, DeWitt, with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Villa Nova. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Friday in Hanrahan Funeral Home, DeWitt, with a parish rosary at 8 p.m. she was born Oct. 10, 1910 in Bernard, Iowa, to Anthony and Lillian McGarry McCoy. She married Paul McGlynn July 18, 1942 in Villa Nova. He died Dec. 15, 1983. She was a former school teacher, a member of the Altar and Rosary Society of St. Joseph's Church and a 4-H leader. Survivors include two sons, Joseph McGlynn of Camanche and Frank McGlynn of DeWitt; two daughters, Jean McGlynn of DeWitt and Mrs. Jim (Joan) Puck of Aurora, Colo. and 10 grandchildren. He was born in Boone, Iowa, May 29, 1912, to Peter and Margaret Garvin McGlynn. he married Mary Beatrice McCoy in Villa Nova July 18, 1942. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Joseph of Camanche and Frank of DeWitt; two daughters, Jean at home, and Mrs. Jim (Joan) Puck of Walcott; three brothers, Raymond, John and Donald, all of Boone; a sister, Margaret McGlynn of Boone; and 10 grandchildren.
