Obituary: Mary L. Harter, 82, of 3930 Grand Ave. died of pneumonia Monday at Iowa
  Methodist Medical Center. Services will be at 11 a.m.
  Friday at St. Augustin's Catholic Church, of which she was a member. Burial will be in
  Glendale Cemetery.
  Mrs. Harter, born in Davenport, had lived in Des Moines since
  1941. She was a homemaker and a volunteer for Junior League of Des Moines.
  Surviving are her husband, Robert; a son, R. Michael of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a daughter,
  Martha Murphy of St. Louis; and four grandchildren.
  Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Thursday at Dunn's Funeral Home, where the family will
  receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. and a vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Memorial
  contributions may be made to her church.
