W.E. Drey W.E. "Woody" Drey, 86 of 4000 S. Westport, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999, at Beverly Healthcare, Covington Heights Nursing Home. He was born Nov. 8, 1912, at Carroll, Iowa. He graduated from high school in Early, Iowa, in 1929 and worked as a cattle buyer at the Sioux City Stockyards. He married Margaret Holbery on April 22, 1936, at Sioux City, Iowa. The couple moved to Sioux Falls in 1946, where he continued as a cattle buyer and owner of W.E. Drey & Co. He worked at the Sioux Falls Stockyards for 46 years, before retiring in 1992. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, the Elks Club No. 262 and the O'Gorman Booster Club. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Margaret Ann Liautaud of Los Angeles five grandchildren four great-grandchildren and two sisters: Margaret Smith of Lakeview, Iowa, and Mary Catherine Morgan of Storm Lake, Iowa. A funeral Mass begins at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Church, with burial at St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Barnett Lewis Funeral Home. A Scripture vigil begins at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary Catholic Church. Drey North Hollywood, CA - Margaret G. Drey, 92, died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at the home of her daughter, Margaret Ann, In North Hollywood, CA. Margaret was born February 12, 1914, to Arthur and Ada Holbery in Sioux City, IA . She graduated from Central High School in Sioux city in 1932. On April 22, 1936, Margaret was united in marriage to W. E. "Woody" Drey. The couple moved from Sioux City to Sioux Falls, SD in 1946, where she lived with her husband until his death in 1999. In October of 2000, she moved to Los Angeles to be near her daughter, Margaret Ann and son-in-law, Tom Liautaud. Margaret was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sioux Falls for 50 years. Margaret is survived by her daughter: Margaret Ann (Tom) Liautaud of North Hollywood, CA; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
