Robert E. Lucey, Sr. Robert (Bob) was born November 7, 1922 in Remsen, Iowa and raised in Carroll Iowa. He died at home, March 6, 2002, in Tacoma, Washington. Following military service he met and married Lois Lux, October 9, 1946. They moved to Tacoma where they raised their family and resided for fifty-six years. He is survived by his wife Lois; children Bob Jr. (Christine), Alysse Ohara (Gary), Christopher (Danise), Mary Gunderson; and grandchildren Michael and Nicholas Lucey, Sean and Patrick Ohara, Brianna and Ashley Gunderson, Brittney and Bradley Lucey. He leaves two sisters, Joanne Carlton of Balboa, CA and Alberta Lucey of Logan, UT. Bob retired as an Engineer Technician in the Inertial Navigation at Mc- Chord Air Force Base in 1984.Prior to working at McChord, Bob was employed at Mt. Rainier Ordnance Depot and Boeing. He was involved in the development and use of missile guidance systems in the 50s and 60s. Bob will be remembered for his perfectly manicured lawn, knack for repairing anything, and being a master at the art of conversation. Rosary will be said at 2:30 PM, with a Funeral Mass at 3 PM, Monday, March 11th at St. Ann Catholic Church. A reception will follow in the church hall.
