Maxine M. Means Maxine M. Means, 74, of Medford died Wednesday (Oct. 8, 2003) at Providence Medford Medical Center. A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, at Perl Funeral Home at Siskiyou Memorial Park in Medford. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at The River First Baptist Church on Crater Lake Ave. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the charity of your choice. She was born Maxine M. Matthews on May 12, 1929 in Modesto, CA. She was a retired sales person for the lumber industry. Her life revolved around her family and church associations. Maxine enjoyed cooking and ministering with the elderly. Survivors include her three children, Joyce Schutz of Mt. Vernon, IN, Jan Rietmann and her husband Steve of Jacksonville, Jerry and his wife Sandy Means of San Mateo, CA; a sister Lucille and her husband Lee Logolusso; her brothers, Jim and his wife Jo Matthews, Norm Matthews, Don Matthews, Bob and his wife Ardis Matthews, and Marty and his wife Joan Matthews; 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
