Services will be at McFarlin United Methodist Church, Norman at 3:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7. Her parents, David and Alice Morgan Wickizer, were ministers in the Disciples of Christ Church. Her father was pastor of the First Christian Church, Norman, from 1913 until 1920. She was a graduate of Norman High School, and a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Oklahoma. She married J. Lee Rodgers July 24, 1922 and lived in Hugo until 1940. Government service took them to several states and the Washington D.C. area before they retired in Norman in 1963. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, a gifted teacher, a genealogical researcher, an involved citizen and a lifelong committed Christian. She is survived by 3 sons and their wives, Joseph Lee Jr. and Mary Joyce, David and Norma, William Paul and Iva; grandchildren, Tom and Linda Rodgers, Joe Lee and Jacci Rodgers, Peggy and Mark Rozelle, Mary Ellen and Clark Bundren, B ill and Beth Rodgers, Cyrena Rodgers, Linda and Gary Hurst, Larry Rodgers, David and Lisa Rodgers, and Kathy Rodgers, plus 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and 1 grandson, Robert Rodgers. He is survived by his wife Linda; parents, Dale and Gwen Hurst; brother, James and wife Terry; numerous aunts and uncles; father and mother-in-law, David and Norma Rodgers; sister-in-law, Kathy Rodgers. Iva passed away Jan. 4, 2006. Iva was born Nov. 29, 1927 in Minco, Okla., and grew up in Tuttle, Okla. She lived in numerous places, primarily in Cypress, Calif., and had spent the last 18 years in Loveland. She was a faithful and dedicated wife and mother. Iva loved her Bible, sewing, painting and grandkids. Iva had a heart for people and gave of herself in many ways as a fulfillment of her passion and calling in Christ. She is survived by her husband, William Paul Rodgers of Loveland; son, Tom and his wife Lindy Rodgers of College Station, Texas, and their children, Thomas, Chris and wife Kim and John Michael; daughter, Ann Rozelle of Orange County, Calif., and her children, John and wife Amanda and Kurt; son, Bill and his wife Beth Rodgers of Loveland, and their children, Trey, Kristen, Tim, Michael, Daniel and Kara; son, David and his wife Lisa Rodgers of Loveland, and their children, David and Eli. She is also survived by two sisters, Oreatha Camp of Denver, and Ruby and husband Herald Hartman of Fort Collins; and two sisters-in-law, Mary Lewallen of Hawthorn, Kan., and Elinor Lewallen of Denver; as well as many nieces and nephews throughout the United States. Iva was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Effie Lewallen of Tuttle, Okla., and sisters and brothers Dorothy, Bertha, Alice, Tom, Dan and John. Her children and husband call her blessed.
