DEATH OF FORMER PHYSICIAN HERE Dr. Alfred M. Shipman Occurs at Philadelphia a Few Days Ago --- Body to Be Brought Here From Monday's Daily. Yesterday M. N. Griffith of Omaha was in the city making the arrangements for the funeral of Dr. Alfred M. Shipman, for many years a prominent member of the medical profession of this city, and whose death occurred a few days ago at his home in Philadelphia. During the many years of his residence here Dr. Shipman was one of the leading physicians of the city and very active in the public life of the community and continued to take an active part in the affairs of the city until his removal from Plattsmouth some twenty-five years ago. He has in late years made his home with his daughter in the east and it was there that he passed away. The body will arrive in Plattsmouth and will be taken to the Masonic temple, where the funeral services will be held at 1:30 tomorrow afternoon. The body will be accompanied from Philadelphia by his son, Milo Shipman. Mr. and Mrs. Griffith of Omaha, will join the funeral party there, Mrs. Griffith being a daughter of the deceased.
