			    Thomas Dix, 87

OCEANSIDE ญญ Thomas H. Dix, 87, died Sunday, June 2, 2002, at his
home.  Born Jan. 18, 1915, in Sullivan, Ind., he lived in Oceanside
for 16 years. He was a naval officer during World War II. He graduated
from Indiana University.  Mr. Dix is survived by his wife, Coelia Dix
of Oceanside; niece Suzanne Strutt of Maryland; and nephew Scott Wyoff
of Delaware.  A private cremation is planned. His cremains will be
scattered at sea.  North County Cremation Service in San Marcos is
handling arrangements.
