Herman H. McPheeters, 90, of Terre Haute, died at 5:55 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 1996, in Davis Gardens Health Care. He was a former owner and operator of Beltone Hearing Aid Center. He was born Oct. 23, 1905, in Vigo County to Harry A. McPheeters and Lula E. Morgan McPheeters. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Mildred Veach McPheeters; one daughter, Mary Lou Miller of Thorntown; two grandsons, Brent Miller and Douglas Miller; two great-granddaughters; and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents. He was a member of Breden United Methodist Church, Prairieton Masonic Lodge Free & Accepted Masons, and was a 50-year member of Kiwanis of Terre Haute. Services are 1:30 p.m. Sunday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with the Rev. Dale Cottom officiating. Burial is in Prairieton Cemetery.
