Porter H. Morgan MORGAN Porter H., was born October 1, 1917, Oklahoma City, Ok. and died November 13, 1995, after a short illness. His parents were Porter H. Morgan Sr., who served as City Attorney for Oklahoma City, and Clemmer Deupree Morgan. His grandfather, Dick T. Morgan, was an original 89er and six term U.S. Congressman from Oklahoma. Porter graduated from Classen High School in 1935, attended Oklahoma Military School and the University of Oregon. On June 24, 1940, he married Joyce Eastland. They had 4 sons. Joyce died May 30, 1970. Porter established Credit Adjustment Co., Inc. in 1943, retiring in 1987. He was one of the organizers of the Oklahoma Collectors Association in 1944, president 1948, and served on Board of Directors many years; helped organize the South Central Regional Collectors Association and was the first president 1962; member of American Collectors Association and served on Board of Directors for several years; member and active in various civic organizations; very active in the Republican Party and delegate to several county and state conventions in the 1960s. Lifetime member of First Christian Church and attended Church of the Wayshower, and supporter of the United Life Church of Religious Science. Porter enjoyed going to lectures and participating in discussion groups. He spent a considerable amount of time compiling the present family genealogy and kept an up-to-date history of the 55 descendants of his father and mother. He was an active member of the American Contract Bridge League. Served on the board of Self Help for Hearing Impaired organization. He was a member of the Revelers Club, the Regency Club, and the Kirkpatrick Colleagues, and a Life member of the 89ers Society. Porter was a loyal friend and counsel to his family, his many friends and his employees. Survivors: Marjorie Tolle, many years a special friend and companion. Sons: Porter H. Max was born June 20, 1915 in Oklahoma City to Porter H. Sr and Clemer Deupree Morgan. He graduated from Classen H.S. in 1933, attended the Univ. of Illinois and studied engineering drawing at the Univ. of Oklahoma. He retired from civil service at Tinker AFB. Max enjoyed life. He was a beloved member of First Christian (Disciples of Christ) Church in Midwest City since 1945. He was a licensed pilot, a scout master and a part-time resident of Pagosa Springs, Colo. Max was preceded in death by his brother Porter H. Morgan II. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Nana and their three children Lois Ackerman, Martha Chappell and William M. Morgan Jr., Lois and husband Alan have three children; Gary and wife Janne, their children Jennifer and Bethany, Deborah and husband Greg Skov, their children Rebecca, Rachel and Evan, Lynne and husband Andy Unverzagt, their children; Emily and Eric. Martha has two sons, Ken Stoner and wife Barbara, and Dan Stoner, William Jr. is married to Beverly. Max is also survived by his brother Dick and wife Mary Morgan and sister Martha Merle Youngdale and many nieces and nephews. Morgan MORGAN Nana G. Morgan, of Midwest City, died Nov. 14, 2001, at the age of 86. Nana was born June 19, 1915, in OKC to Elias McLeod Landrum and Nana Landrum (Woodall). She worked as a graphic artist branch chief at Tinker AFB until her retirement. Nana was member of the First Christian Church of Midwest City since 1945, a mobile meals volunteer and an active member of P.E.O. a philanthropic organization. During their marriage, they lived in Houston, Wichita Falls, Austin, Abilene, Dallas, Beaumont and Fort Worth. Mrs. Youngdale taught school in Beaumont, Austin and Everman until her retirement in 1977. She was active in the Christian churches of the towns in which she lived. At the time of her death, she was a member of University Christian Church, where she served as deacon and elder. She was a member of PEO and Gamma Phi Beta. Youngdale FORT WORTH - Paul J. Youngdale, 88, a retired president and manager of a dairy, died Sunday, April 20, 1997, at a local hospital. Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at University Christian Church. He was reared on a farm in Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University in 1932 with a bachelor of science degree in dairy industry. He spent four years in the Quartermaster Corps during World War II. After finishing Command and General Staff School in 1945, he was ordered to the headquarters of 8th Service Command in Dallas as the quartermaster officer in the personnel control unit. After the service, Mr. Youngdale returned to the dairy industry. He later founded and incorporated Kwik Kold Corp., a supply enterprise. He sold Kwik Kold Corp. to the Hussmann Corp. and worked for Hussmann two years during the transition before retiring in 1982. He was a member of the Lions Club International for 56 years, holding offices such as director and lion tamer, and was a life member of the Texas Lion Camp. He was president of the Beaumont Founders Club in 1956. His family has been active in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). They were members of University Christian Church in Fort Worth, where he had served as a deacon, elder and trustee.
