Clifton "Dick" Paswaters Clifton Paswaters, 79, passed away Wednesday Nov. 28, 2001, from complications of pneumonia. Born Nov. 6, 1922, to Oscar and Elverda Paswaters in Lynndyl, Utah. Married Donna Jean Weaver, Nov. 9, 1951, in the Salt Lake Temple. After graduation from Murray High School, Dick worked for Remington Arms in Denver and received training for army ordnance. He was then transferred to Salt Lake to establish the Remington Arms Plant. He enlisted in the US Air Force, serving three years in North Africa, Corsica, and Italy. He worked in the metals industry for 40 years and retired from Kennecott Copper Corp. An avid collector, Dick was also an accomplished restorer of authentic antique automobiles. His favorite activity was to take his grandkids for a ride in one of his many open touring Model T cars on a summer afternoon or to make homemade ice cream. He was a gentle and kind husband, father and grandfather, a friend to all. Dick and his sweetheart recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He was very active and involved with his family. He was a devoted parent and loving grandparent, living an exemplary life of selfless love. He served faithfully in church callings, including scouting, quorum presidencies, bishoprics, and two local service missions for the LDS Church. Survived by his wife, Donna, children, Scott, Gil, Shauna (Bruce) Rosenlof, Sharon Broeking, and nine loving grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at the Cottonwood 5th Ward, Saturday Dec. 1st at 10 a.m., 5913 So. Highland Dr., Salt Lake City. Friends and family may call at Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary 4670 So.
