Jack Oscar Paswaters Jack Oscar Paswaters 1924 ~ 2004 Jack Oscar Paswaters, 79, passed away March 17, 2004 in Salt Lake City, UT. He was born to Oscar William and ElVerda Emma (Anderson) Paswaters in Salt Lake City, UT August 24, 1924. He married Clarissa June Card, Jan 9, 1946 in Las Vegas, NV. Jack was a kind gentle person. He loved to talk to everyone and was especially attentive to young people. He enjoyed sports and following his kids' activities. Jack loved to stay busy by finding projects to do and could not sit still while something needed to be done. Jack graduated from Murray High, Machinists School, and Barber College. Veteran U.S. Army World War II. Retired from EIMAC Corp. as a machinist. Owned and operated barber shop for over 25 years. Elder, in the LDS Church. Survived by wife, Chris; children, Terry (Colleen), Ron (Colette), Colleen (Mike) Welch, Lane (Dianne), Joan (Dan) Steele, Wade (Coleen); 19 grandchildren; and six great-grand-children. Preceded in death by brothers, Sylvester (Ves), Gilbert, Clifton (Dick), and sisters, Grace, Loy, and Joy. Gratitude is expressed to all the doctors and caregivers at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City, who made Dad as comfortable as possible in his last days. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Taylors Grove LDS Ward Chapel, 1400 W. 4800 So. Friends and family may call Friday, March 19, 2004 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street and from 10:00-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to services on Saturday. Interment Murray City Cemetery.
