Wm. W. Woods and the Rev. E. Kent attend a meeting previous by called in said township for the purpose of constituting a church. After Sermon preached by Rev. E. Kent the following persons, having given satisfactory evidence of piety and soundness in faith, were organized into a Presbyterian Church, to be known by the name of Sugar Creek Ch., by the election & ordination of Wm. F. Morgan and Joseph F. Boggs Elders, and Donald Vanderbett Deacon; to wit. Morgan and Betsy his wife were paid $350.00 by George W. Vardaman (our direct line) for land. (Vol E:385) As you can see your little man is all over my records. I didn't even know that Sally and Daniel had children (they aren't show in the church records to my knowledge). Looking for them was on my wish list (if I'd stay with my direct line I'd probably have more information! but somehow I have to know about the brothers and sisters to a point.) I really don't know who Boggstown is named for but would guess it might be Betsy and Sally's brother, Joseph F. Boggs. Hope this helps you.
