Ada Minnie Morrison Mrs. Morrison was born September 6, 1907 in Hartford, South Dakota, daughter of James and Lizzie Main. She graduated from Hartford High School and South Dakota State College in Brookings, South Dakota. She became a Home Economics teacher in Terril, Iowa. she married Edward (Pete) Morrison on June 4, 1931, in Hartford, South Dakota. they made Spencer their home for most of the next 50 years. She was a member of the First Congregational Church. After Pete died, Ada made her home in Mesa, Arizona and for the last year and a half she had been living in La Mesa, California. Ada passed away on July 3, 1996 in San Diego, California at the age of 88. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pete; one sister, Inez Johnson; three brothers, Ervin, Charley, and Lee Main. Ada is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Jo Lindstrom of Poway, California and Mrs. Trudy Heiman of Northridge, California; one son, Ed Morrison, Jr. of Alpine, California; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one sister Leota Moser of Vermillion, SD; other relatives and many friends. typed by Theresa Keller July 21, 1996 (I'm not sure if this was published or maybe was a funeral card -- D.
