Rena Ethel Schilling Rena Ethel Schilling Morrison, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Schilling was born on the old Schilling homestead near Webster, Iowa, on March 19, 1893. Died November 2, 1924, age 31 years, 7 months and 13 days. She was converted and united in church membership with the Methodist Episcopal at Webster under the pastorate of Rev. R. V. Pike during the winter of 1912. She ever honored her profession with a consistent Christian life. On December 24, 1919, she was united in marriage to Ellis Morrison and to this union one son was born. She leaves to mourn their loss her devoted husband, Ellis Morrison, one son, Lloyd Morrison, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Schilling, and the following sisters, Mrs. Estella Sweet, Mrs. Cleve Snakenburg, Mrs. Virgil Winegarden and Mrs. Loren Sorden. Funeral services were held from the M. E. Church in Webster, November 5, 1924, conducted by Rev. R. V. Pike, of Delta, assisted by the Pastor , Rev. J. A. Worrell, of Webster. Morrison, well known retired plumber, were held Sunday at 3:00 o'clock, in the Methodist Church here, conducted by Rev. C. E. McPherson. the Rev. John McCurdy of the Christian church assisted. The song service was in charge of Mrs. Ione Johnson and son, Don. Mrs. Pearl Warner, pianist, was the accompanist. Burial was made in the North English cemetery. Pallbearers were Dow Mason, Bill Hester, Lowell Churchill, R. S. Ferris, Orville Faas and A. C. Shoenthaler. Charles Wesley Morrison was born to James and Rosa Ann Morrison, on a farm near Keswick, Iowa, November 14, 1890 and passed away at his home in North English, Iowa, August 4, 1955, aged 64 years 8 months 26 days. He was united in marriage to Linnie Morey, September 20, 1916 at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They were blessed two children: Florence Evelyn at home, and Charlene Hedrick, and one granddaughter, Linda Lou Hedrick, all of North English. Mr. Morrison was a hardworking and industrious citizen and very thorough in every thing he did. He was in the plumbing business in North English for nearly 36 years, retiring 12 years ago. He also farmed near here. Eleven years ago he suffered a stroke, from which he never fully recovered. Mr. Morrison was a member of the Methodist church, a faithful and loving husband and father, a devoted grandfather and a friend to all who knew him. Besides his devoted wife and daughters and granddaughter, he leaves a brother, Jess of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Sadie Shugar of Wilton Junction, Iowa; brothers, Ben of Mapleton, Iowa; Morley of Atlanta, Georgia; and sister, Alice Mahannah of Miami, Florida. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, brothers; Bert, Ed, Harry and John, and one sister, Minnie. He also leaves a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Also on LDS microfilm #1003429, North English Obituaries, 27 July 1944 Linnie Morrison Funeral services for Linnie Jane Morrison, 74, were held Sunday afternoon, March 7, 1971 at 2:00 o'clock in the United Methodist church in North English. The Rev. Kimbrell officiated. Vocalist for the services was Mrs. Bruce Warner. Al Brainard presided at the organ. Interment was in the North English cemetery. Casket bearers were Layton Claypool, Raymond Morrison, Keith Mason, Larry Harris, Herbert Hedrick and Donald Nixon. Best Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Linnie Jane Morrison was born July 19, 1896, at Millersburg, Iowa, a daughter of Calvin and Florence Priest Morey. She passed away at the Keokuk County Hospital at Sigourney, Iowa on March 5, 1971 at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 13 days. She was united in marriage to Charles Wesley Morrison on September 20, 1916, and they lived all of there married life in or near North English. They had two daughters Florence Evelyn, at home, and Charlene Hedrick of Parnell, and one granddaughter, Linda Hedrick of Marshalltown. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of North English. She enjoyed playing the organ for church services and was a charter member of the W. S. C. S.. From the time of her husbands death, she made her home with her daughter, Evelyn, who cared for her lovingly. She leaves to mourn her passing, her daughters, Evelyn and Charlene (Mrs. Walter Hedrick Jr.) and her granddaughter Linda Hedrick. Evelyn Morrison Funeral services for Evelyn Morrison 69, North English were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday December 16, at the North English United Methodist church. She died Monday December 14, 1992 at University Hospital, Iowa City. She was born December 27, 1922 to Charles & Linnie Morey Morrison. She is survived by one sister Charlene Hedrick one niece Linda Schrader, great nephews Mike Burggraaf & Colin Schrader. Re-typed by Lyman Morrison, 1995.
