Virginia Baker 06/29/2005 Virginia Ann Conner Baker, 61, died Wed., June 22, 2005, in Sioux City, S. D. She was born in Sigourney on Dec. 2, 1943, the daughter of Sam and Bertha Conner. She attended school in Sigourney. On May 3, 1965, she married Howard Baker in Bloomfield. They lived in Downing, Mo. for many years before moving to Beacon in 1990. She worked as a clerk for Brower Construction Company in Sioux City. She is survived by a daughter, Carla Miller of Des Moines; a son, Tracey of Kahoka, Mo.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five sisters, Sandra Conner of Glenwood, Diana Garringer, Gwen Stull, Dottie Dobbins and Michele Vermillion all of Sigourney; a brother, Gerald of Beacon; her brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. No services are planned. Those who loved her will gather in her honor at a later time. Her body has been cremated. Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney was in charge of arrangements. Sigourney News Review Gerald Lee Conner Gerald Lee Conner, 60 died December 5th. 2008 at Keokuk County Health Center.He was born January 24, 1948 in Sigourney, Iowa to Samuel N. and Bertha L. Morrison Conner. He attended Sigourney Community Schools. He is survived by five sisters, Sandra Conner of Glenwood, Diana (Buck) Garringer, Gwen (Steve) Stull, Dottie (Rick) Dobbins, Michele (Bobby) Vermillion all of Sigourney, many nieces and nephews, his Club House friends from Oskaloosa, and three stepdaughters. Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister Virginia Ann Baker. No services are planned. It was his wish to be cremated. The family will gather in his honor at a later date.Memorial donations will be given to Keokuk County Hospice.His final resting place will be with his parents at Conner Cemetery near Sigourney.
