JAMES MORRISON LAND DOCUMENT This indenture, made the April 21 day of----in the year of our Lord one thousand and eight hundred and eighty three. Between Edson Turner of Pasadena, County of Los Angeles, State of California the party of the first part and James Morrison of Pasadena, County of Los Angeles, State of California the party of the second part witnesseth: that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Two Thousand and Five Hundred dollars Gold coin of the United States of America. To him in hand paid by the said party of second part. The receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged does by these presents grant bargain sell and convey unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever all that certain lot piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in the said county of Los Angeles, State of California and bounded and particularly described as follows to wit: being a part of lot No. 4 in Block "B" of the San Pasqual tract of the lands of the Lake Vineyard Land and Water Association and bounded as follows. Commencing at a point N. 34" 47' W. two and 50/100 chains from the southerly corner of said Lot 4 and running thence Northeasterly on the Northwestern by line of a tract of five acres deeded by Charles J Dennis to Persis M. Stowell, twenty chains to the Northeasterly line of said Lot no.4 at the Northerly corner of said Stowell lot. Thence on said northeasterly line of said Lot 4 N. 34" 47' W. five chains. Thence in a southwesterly course twenty chains to the east side of Fair Oaks Avenue thence south easterly along said Avenue 5 chains to the place of beginning and appertaining to said tract of land 2/500 parts of the right title and interest of the Lake Vineyard Land and Water Association to and into the waters of the Arroyo Seco. The above described tract of land contains ten acres. Together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any way appertaining, and the reversion and reversions, remainder and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof. To have and to hold, all and singular the said premises, together with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever.
