Raymond Morrison, 80 Funeral services for Raymond Morrison, 80, North English, were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at the United Methodist Church, North English. He died June 12, 1996 at Marengo Memorial Hospital, Marengo, following a short illness. The Rev. Kathleen Moore officiated at the service. Burial was in the North English Cemetery. Casket bearers were Leonard Wilkerson, Charles Wilkerson, Edward Wilkerson, Norman Wilkerson, Robert Wilkerson and Lamont Littrell. Honorary casket bearers were Bruce Warner, Floyd Seaba, William Hester, Marvin Humphrey, Robert Reinert, Mace Humphrey, Verle Harris and James Reinhart. Powell Funeral Home, North English, was in charge of arrangements. Raymond Morrison was born March 14, 1916, in Keokuk County, near Keswick, the son of Edward and Mary Etta Scott Morrison. He graduated from Keswick High School in 1933. He married Elma Johnston March 13, 1937, in Oskaloosa. The couple lived and farmed in Keokuk and Iowa counties until retiring in 1975 and moving to North English. He served as a township trustee for several years, was an active member of the Millersburg Methodist Church where he served as a trustee and on the board. When the couple moved to North English, the transferred their membership to the North English United Methodist Church. Morrison is survived by his wife; one son, Ray Morrison Jr., and wife Kandi, Carrollton, Texas; one daughter, Connie Shaull, and husband Gary, Overland Park, Kan.; four grandchildren, Wendy Shaull O'Hara, and husband Stephen, River Ridge, La.; Kim Morrissey, and husband Patrick, Overland Park; Lora Moberly and husband Scott, Indianapolis, Ind., and Jeffrey Morrison, Austin, Texas; two step-grandchildren, Kristine Lewis, and husband Chris, Houston, Texas, and Kristopher Green, Carrolton; two sisters, Ruth Seiwert, Sigourney, and Mary Fern Franklin, Iowa City, and one brother, Roscoe Morrison, Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Hattie Wilkerson, and five brothers, Forrest, Orville, Edward, Elmer and Ellis Morrison.
