VIRGIL TAYLOR -- Grinnell Virgil Taylor, 79, of Grinnell died of congestive heart failure Thursday at Grinnell Regional Medical Center. The body was cremated, and no services are planned. Mr. Taylor was born in Poweshiek County and had lived there and in Jasper County and Cedar Rapids before moving to Grinnell in 1976. He was a grain and livestock farmer and had worked for Cessford Construction Co. in Grinnell before retiring. He enjoyed raising Black Angus cattle, driving and gardening. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary a son, David of Corvallis, Ore. and a sister, Virginia Miller of Grinnell. Memorial contributions may be made to the Virgil Taylor Memorial Fund.
