Eldon Thompson GENEVA -- Eldon Dean Thompson, 80, of Fort Lane Road, a merchant for Daytona Shells and Curios in Daytona Beach until his retirement in 1988, died Tuesday at Florida Hospital East Orlando. Mr. Thompson, an Army-Air Corps veteran of World War II, was born in Leroy, Iowa, and came here in 1988 from Daytona Beach, where he had lived since 1950. He was a member of American Legion Post 120, Holly Hill. He enjoyed the beach and surf fishing. Survivors include a daughter, Cleta E. Thompson, Geneva; and a friend, Charles Straner, Geneva, who helped provide for his care. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 310 N. Nova Road, Ormond Beach 32174.
