James Wardenburg James M. Wardenburg, 63, of Williamsburg died Monday, Aug. 14, 1995, at University Hospitals of an apparent heart attack. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Conroy with the Rev. George Clausen officiating. Burial will be in the Genoa Bluff Cemetery with military honors by Iburg Poulson VFW Post No. 8797. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today at the Uhlmann-Powell Funeral home in Williamsburg with a VFW service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Mr. Wardenburg was born Feb. 20, 1932, in Hilton Township near Conroy to Martin and Elsie (Sims) Wardenburg. He graduated from Hilton Consolidated High School in Conroy in 1950. He married Delores Wilkerson on Jan. 10, 1954, in Conroy. He farmed and lived in the Williamsburg and Conroy communities. He was a veteran of the Korean conflict; a member of the VFW and American Legion of Williamsburg; president of the Conroy Farmers Co-op Board of Directors, and a member of the Eagles Lodge of Iowa City. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Conroy. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Michael and his wife, Corine, of Williamsburg, Brad of Williamsburg, and Todd and his wife Jane, of South Amana; one daughter and her husband, Brenda and Michael Howard of Nokesville, Va.; one brother, Verlyn Wardenburg of Williamsburg; and nine grandchildren.
