David Burke 1930-1974 The Clinton Herald February 25, 1974 David John Burke, 43, an attorney from Arlington, Va., formerly from the DeWitt area, died Sunday morning in V.A. Hospital, Washington, D.C. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, Arlington. The body will be brought to McGinnis Funeral Home, DeWitt, with visitation Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A commital service will be at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph's Cemetery, DeWitt, with the Rev. Francis P. Kelley of St. Joseph's Church, officiating. Mr. Burke was born March 27, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Raymond and Alyce Welsh Burke. He graduated from Loyola University, Chicago, and was a member of the Loyola Century Club. He served four years in the Marine Corps. then entered law school. He graduated from the University of Illinois Law School, at Champaign. Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Alyce Burke of Arlington, and other relatives in the DeWitt area.
