The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, DeWitt, with the Rev. Anthony Conrad officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hanrahan Funeral Home, DeWitt. Parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Mrs. Farber was born Aug. 6, 1904, to Edward and Margaret Cleary Welch in Petersville. She married Leo Farber Sept. 17, 1939, in Petersville. She is survived by her husband; two sisters, Martha Welch of DeWitt and Mrs. Loretta McGuire of The Alverno Nursing home, Clinton. She was preceded in death by two brothers. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, DeWitt, with the Rev. Anthony Conrad officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph's cemetery, DeWitt. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today in Hanrahan Blazek Funeral Home, DeWitt, where a combined Knights of Columbus and a parish rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Mark and Tim McGuire, Tim Meier, Mike Loos, Tom Krogman and Pat Linehan. Mr. Farber was born July 6, 1899 in Clinton County, Iowa, to John W. and Mary Ann Kain Farber. He married Margaret Welsh, Sept. 17, 1929, in Petersville, Iowa. She died May 27, 1984. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, a 4th degree Knight and member of Knights of Columbus, DeWitt, a 20 year member of the board of directors of Equity Coop. He farmed in the DeWitt area until his retirement in 1965. Survivors include a brother, Ray, of Bettendorf. He was preceded in death by an infant sister.
