Anna C. Reed

ROCKWELL --- Anna C. Reed, 100, died Sunday morning, February 21,
1900 [sic --- DJN], at the Rockwell Community Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1999, at
the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockwell, with the Rev. Stephen
Meyer officiating. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Catholic
Cemetery, Dougherty.

Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 p.m. today at the Sacred Heart
Parish Center, where a scripture service will be held at 7 p.m.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to direct memorials
to the Anna Reed Memorial Fund.

Anna was born Nov. 22, 1898, the daughter of William and Mary (Murphy)
Reed in Blessing, Iowa. Her family moved to the rural Dougherty area
shortly following her birth. In 1977, Anna moved to Rockwell where she
has resided ever since.

Anna enjoyed gardening and canning everything she raised. She also
spent time knitting and crocheting. She was a member of the Domestic
Club and enjoyed being involved in the clubs different activities. She
was very involved in the church and enjoyed going to daily mass.

Anna was a member of the National Women's Catholic Order of Foresters
Court 635 Roster 378, the Rockwell Senior Citizens, Sacred Heart
Guild, and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Anna is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Miss Reed was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mary
Ryan, Ella Reed, and Kathryn Conners; two brothers, Thomas and Frank
Reed.

Center where a scripture wake service will be held at 7 p.m.
