Clinton Herald September 25, 2004 Mark Reed, 54, of Dubuque and formerly of DeWitt Mark Reed, 54, of Dubuque and formerly of DeWitt, died Thursday at his home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Welton. The Rev. Ed Botkin will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Nelson Funeral Home in DeWitt with a prayer service at 5 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in DeWitt, with a luncheon immediately following at Buzzy's in Welton. He was born March 24, 1950, to William and Joan McDermott Reed. He graduated from Central High School in 1968. He served in the Army Reserves in the 1970s. He was employed at the Gary Williams Insurance Agency as an insurance agent until retiring in 2000. He was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Welton. Survives include his mother, Joan Reed of DeWitt; and his 14 brothers and sisters, Patrick (Linda) Reed of Moline, Ill., Mrs. Kathleen (Peter) Picchi of Cicero, Ind., Dorothy Fischer of Dunwoody, Ga., Thomas Reed of Camanche, Joseph Reed of Charlotte, Leo Reed of DeWitt, Mrs. Joan (Ron) Wheeler of Aurora, Ill., Julie Reed of Elmhurst, Ill.; John (Carol) Reed of DeWitt, Mrs. Helen (Rex) Robinson of Richland, Wash., Gregory Reed of DeWitt, Mrs. Barbara (David) Bowstead of Bettendorf, James (Gala) Reed of DeWitt and Lisa Barrett of Oconto Falls, Wis. He was preceded in death by his father. Death Date: Sept. 23, 2004.
