STREATOR - H. Bernice Maahs, 90, of R.R. 4, Streator, died at 1:45
p.m. Saturday (May 15, 1999) at her home.

Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Patrick's Church,
Ransom, the Rev. Arthur Ryan officiating. Burial will be in
St. Patrick's Cemetery, Ransom. Visitation will be from 4 to 7
p.m. today at Hagi Funeral Home, Streator, where a prayer service will
be at 6:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Church.

She was born Aug. 18, 1908, the daughter of Arthur Edward and Mary
Reed Ryan.

Survivors include her son, Daniel B. (Carole) Maahs, Portage, Wis.;
and one brother, Lester (Florence) Ryan, Ransom.

RANSOM -- Lester "Hick" Ryan, 87, of Ransom, died at 10:10
a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 8, 2004) at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Dwight.

Mass of Christian Burial: 1:30 p.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Church,
Ransom, with Rev. Bowan Schmitt officiating, full military rites will
be held.

Visitation: prior to the Mass Saturday at the church.

Burial: St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Memorials: charity of the donor's choice.

Survivors: his wife, Florence Ryan, Ransom; one son, Michael Ryan,
Ransom; three grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
