Mrs. Edward Welsh Dies Early Today DeWitt --- Mrs. Edward Welsh, 82, a lifetime resident of Clinton county, died at 12:15 a.m. today in Mercy hospital, Clinton, after a short illness. The body will repose in the Hanrahan funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Monday, when funeral services will be held in Immaculate Conception church, Petersville. The Rev. John Lynch will celebrate the requiem high mass. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception cemetery. Mary Ellen Cleary was born Aug. 24, 1864, in Waterford township, Clinton county, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Cleary. She was married Feb. 5, 1896, to Edward Welsh in the Petersville church. Surviving are three daughters, Martha at home, Mrs. Loretta McGuire, Mrs. Margaret Farber, both of DeWitt; a son, Edward, of DeWitt; a sister, Mrs. Julia Costello, Waterloo, and four grandchildren.
